The Holmegaard bow is a self-bow of a very sophisticated design. Found in a peat bog in Holmegaard in Denmark, these bows are some of the oldest designs known to man. Characterised by their broad, tapering, ‘step in’ limbs and cut away handle, these bows are both efficient in design and very accurate.
Our replica Holmegaard bows are made from one piece of Ash, and are made to scale from the original dimensions.
If you want to try something different whilst still being historically accurate, give a Holmegaard bow a try.
